Wallace and Gromit is animated stop-motion short film and its main genre is comedy but it also contains more additional genres that appear throughout the movie which can be crime fiction as the story's narrative contains a penguin as a villain and criminal and action scenes with Gromit stopping him.

The narrative has a linear story like from the beginning to the end. The narrative starts with the equilibrium of their normal classic life and things they normally do, like the morning routine, and it is Gomit's birthday so everything is normal until the penguin moves in. That's the time when the disruption begins and initially starts to make changes in the house and the relationship between the characters, he pushes Gomit firstly from his room and later from the house and takes place as a new friend for Wallace. Later he uses him for robbery of a diamond. The solution of the disruption is solved by Gomit when he has to save Wallace from electric trousers and stop him from stealing the diamond. In the end Gomit successes and the new equilibrium occurs when they get back to their normal life.
Binary opposites involve as already mentioned the conflict between good vs evil and particularly Gomit vs penguin, hero vs villain. In the movie Gomit is the representative of the protagonist which on the other hand the penguin is an antagonist.
Film form- lighting and colours are bright and colourful but when it gets to scenes with the villain it gets darker. Another thing that changes due to the crime genre in the movie is non-diegetic music that with penguin is tenser and also added sound effects. Performance, the only one who talks in the movie is Wallace, however due to Gomit's facial expressions and body language we know the meaning and what he thinks or feels.
